John McCain spent Thursday at Phoenix Municipal Court.Link.
And when his fellow potential jurors asked what he was doing there, he responded, "I'm a citizen."

In the morning McCain sat in the back of the jury assembly room, reading newspapers and fielding the occasional question. "What's the future for John McCain?" he was asked by Brian Moore, 37, of Scottsdale. "I'm not going there," McCain replied.
Midafternoon McCain and others were marched to a courtroom to be considered for a DUI trial.
He entertained his new friends in the hallway by playing tunes from his cellphone and making small talk.
McCain and I evidently have something in common (aside for never being picked to be on a jury): we both enjoy the snazzy ringtones.
