I'm Famous! (Patty Murray event edition)
I was looking through my site hits today and noticed a couple of very neat things about my "involvement" in the Patty Murray event in Vancouver, Washington yesterday.
First, let me point to a quote in an article in the Vancouver Columbian today.
Several people who supported Clark's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination crowded around him afterward.
"We still love the general," said college student Jonathan Singer, 20, of Portland, who wore a "Clark in '04" T-shirt.
"Gen. Wesley Clark has brought so much to the Democratic Party. He made it OK to be a patriot, a veteran and a soldier within the Democratic Party," Singer said.
Next, in an equally exciting development, my account of the day's event was featured in the official Patty Murray for Senate blog! Here's what they write:
A blogger from Oregon also reports on his experience at yesterday morning's event in Vancouver with Patty and General Clark.
OK. Maybe they don't mention my name in the Murray blog. Nonetheless, I think that's pretty cool that they enjoyed my post! It's also nice to see that my readership is slowly, but surely growing (traffic is up to about 100 unique hits per day).
If you enjoy reading Basie!, definitely feel free to pass on the site to your friends(you can email them the url, or something), and if you are a blogger yourself, I'd be obliged if you'd link to my site. Let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks!
