- In an election today in topsy turvy Florida, John Kerry edges George W Bush 50% to 48% & Dem Betty Castor edges GOP Mel Martinez 50% to 47%, according to SurveyUSA poll of 749 likely voters conducted 10/22-10/24. Both results within the margin of error.
- 1 wk ago, Kerry led by 1, now 2. 1 wk ago, Martinez led by 2, now trails by 3.
Bush leads by 7 among men. Kerry leads by 11 among women. Bush leads by 13 among whites. Kerry leads among minorities. Bush leads by 19 pts in NE FL, Kerry leads by 26 in SE FL, Bush leads by 5 in rest of state. Kerry up 28 among lower income voters. - Castor leads by 12 among women. Martinez leads by 8 among men. Castor up 18 in SE FL.
