Rep. Christopher Cox, R-Calif., was a Harvard Law School classmate of Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass. After graduating, Cox clerked with judges on federal appeals courts in San Francisco and Honolulu, practiced law with a Newport Beach firm, and published with his father an English version of the former official Soviet newspaper Pravda.
