How Pro-Choice Are Americans?
SurveyUSA polled voters in every state asking them whether they consider themselves to be "pro-life" or "pro-choice." The findings include:
- A majority of voters in 32 states and a plurality of voters in another four states are "pro-choice." These include 17 so-called "red" states.
- 56 percent of all Americans consider themselves "pro-choice" while 38 percent consider themselves "pro-life"
- Oregon's voters break down as follows: 62 percent "pro-choice," 33 percent "pro-life"
